Modelling career
I attended school in Bangalore at Sophia High School. I have been modelling in print and television advertising campaigns for Liril soap, Dabur Lal powder Close-Up toothpaste and Limca, receiving many prestigious modelling offers, including brand ambassadorship of the Jewels of India, an annual jewellery exhibition since I was 14 years old. I hit the international scene when Maybelline made me their new international face.
At the fifth annual Kingfisher Fashion Awards, for Indian models and designers, I was awarded the title of Model of the Year. Shortly afterwards, I was chosen as one of the models for the Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar for 2006. I also won two trophies at the Idea Zee F Awards in 2006 - Female Model of the year (Commercial Assignments) and Fresh Face of the year.
Personal life
My father is a sportsman and my mother is a travel agent. I have a younger sister named Anisha who is currently in the 11th grade. I have dated models Upen Patel, Muzammil Ibrahim and Nihar Pandya.
On screen appearances
I have branched out from modeling into acting. This all began with my starring in the music video for Naam Hai Tera a song from the pop album Aap Ka Suroor, an independent album by Himesh Reshammiya.
More recently I made my cinematic debut in a Kannada film, entitled Aishwarya, directed by Indrajit Lankesh co-starring Upendra. The film was very successful at the box-office. I will be making my Bollywood debut in Farah Khan- directed Om Shanti Om , opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
